HO CHI MINH CITY ANTICIPATES THE REORGANIZATION OF COMMUNE-LEVEL ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS IN 2025

Ho Chi Minh City anticipates the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in 2025.

Specifically, Ho Chi Minh City will undertake the consolidation of 273 commune-level administrative units (comprising 210 wards, 58 communes and 5 towns) to establish 102 new commune-level administrative units, including 78 wards and 24 communes.

Details are as follows:

 

District 1 currently has 10 wards, which will be reorganized into 4 new wards.

– The consolidation of Tan Dinh Ward and a portion of Da Kao Ward will form Tan Dinh Ward.

– The consolidation of Ben Thanh Ward, Pham Ngu Lao Ward, a portion of Cau Ong Lanh Ward and a portion of Nguyen Thai Binh Ward will form Ben Thanh Ward.

– The consolidation of Ben Nghe Ward, a portion of Da Kao Ward and a portion of Nguyen Thai Binh Ward will form Sai Gon Ward.
