Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 237/TB-CT issued by the Tax Department on May 14, 2025:
In accordance with Official Letter No. 2516/BTTTT-CATTT dated June 27, 2024 of the Ministry of Information and Communications regarding guidance on several solutions to enhance information system security, the Tax Department will be relocating its primary Data Center to a new location from May 23, 2025, to June 15, 2025, inclusive. During this period, certain tax sector applications will be temporarily suspended from operation to facilitate the system migration, as detailed below:
1. Transition Plan:
– System Downtime for Electronic Tax System Migration between Primary and Disaster Recovery Center:
+ Electronic Invoice Application: System downtime will occur for 04 hours, commencing at 00:00 hours and concluding at 04:00 hours on Saturday, May 24, 2025, and again commencing at 00:00 hours and concluding at 04:00 hours on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
+ Electronic Tax Services and Transmission Platform Application: System downtime will occur for 48 hours, commencing at 18:00 hours on Friday, May 23, 2025, and concluding at 16:00 hours on Sunday, May 25, 2025, and again commencing at 18:00 hours on Friday, June 13, 2025, and concluding at 16:00 hours on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
– Period of Operation of the Tax Department’s Application System at the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) with 70% Performance Compared to the Primary Data Center:
+ Electronic Invoice Application: From 04:00 hours on Saturday, May 24, 2025, until 00:00 hours on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
+ Electronic Tax Services and Transmission Platform Application: From 16:00 hours on Sunday, May 25, 2025, until 18:00 hours on Friday, June 13, 2025.
– Resumption of Operation of the Tax Department’s Application System on the Primary Data Center:
+ Electronic Invoice Application: From 04:00 hours on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
+ Electronic Tax Services and Transmission Platform Application: From 16:00 hours on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
2. Scope of Impact During System Downtime:
Taxpayers (TPs) will experience a temporary suspension of the following applications and services:
– Electronic Invoice Application. Downtime periods are as follows:
+ Phase 1: From 00:00 on Saturday, May 24, 2025, to 04:00 on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
+ Phase 2: From 00:00 on Saturday, June 14, 2025, to 04:00 on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
– Electronic Tax Services Application, encompassing: Electronic Tax Services for Businesses (eTax), Electronic Tax Services for Individuals (iCanhan), Electronic Tax Services on Mobile Devices (eTax Mobile), the E-commerce Portal, the Electronic Portal for Foreign Suppliers, Electronic Tax Services on the National Public Service Portal, the Ministry of Finance Public Service Portal, and Provincial-Level Public Service Portals. Downtime periods are as follows:
+ Phase 1: From 18:00 on Friday, May 23, 2025, to 16:00 on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
+ Phase 2: From 18:00 on Friday, June 13, 2025, to 16:00 on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
– The following external units and organizations shall temporarily suspend the transmission, receipt, and exchange of information with the Tax Department: The Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy – Ministry of Industry and Trade; The Department of Land Registration and Information Data – Ministry of Agriculture and Environment; The Agency for Administrative Procedure Control – Government Office; The Vietnam Register – Ministry of Construction; Department A08, C06, C08, V01 – Ministry of Public Security; The People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities; The Department of Information Technology and Digital Transformation; Department of Customs; Statistics Office; The State Securities Commission; The State Treasury of Vietnam; Vietnam Social Security; The Agency for Private Sector and Collective Economy Development; TVAN Service Provider; Commercial Banks; Solution Providers, Organizations Receiving, Transmitting and Storing Electronic Invoice Data. The periods of temporary suspension are as follows:
+ Phase 1: From 18:00 on Friday, May 23, 2025, to 16:00 on Sunday, May 25, 2025.
+ Phase 2: From 18:00 on Friday, June 13, 2025, to 16:00 on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
